Yamalube: Yamaha's oils, lubes and care products.
Yamalube is Yamaha's own line of oils, lubricants and care products, and Yamaha says all of its marine engine oils carry NMMA FC-W or TC-W3 certification. The line is grouped below the way Yamaha's maintenance pages group it: engine oil, the lower unit, lubricants and greases, cleaning and protection, fuel and storage, and model-specific oil change kits.

Yamalube

Yamaha's spec tables list Yamalube 4M for its current four-stroke outboards and point to the owner's manual for the details. Yamalube 4M FC-W 10W-30 is the mineral-based oil Yamaha lists for all its four-strokes, and Yamalube 4M 10W-30 Full Synthetic is listed for all gasoline Yamaha four-strokes, V MAX SHO and the 4.3L Offshore included.
It depends on the engine. Yamaha excludes the standard Marine Gearcase Lube (GL-4) from XTO Offshore, the 4.2L and 4.3L V6 Offshore, the V6 V MAX SHO 200-250 and the V8 F300-F350. Marine Gearcase Lube HD (GL-5) is the heavy-duty lube for the 200-250, 4.2L Offshore and XTO, and Yamaha does not recommend it for its other outboards.
Each kit is matched to specific models and holds the right Yamalube oil in the right quantity, a Yamaha oil filter and a drain gasket. The kit part number changes with the oil weight (5W-30, 10W-30 or 20W-40) where Yamaha offers more than one.
