Marine Service Technician - Yamaha Outboards
Virginia Beach, VA (Shore Drive) · $28 - $40 per hour, based on experience and certifications · Full-time
Coastal Marine Sales & Services is a Yamaha outboard dealer on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach. We focus on Yamaha repowers, service and rigging. We need an experienced outboard tech who can take a job from diagnosis to sea trial.
What you'll do
- Service, diagnose and repair four-stroke outboards, mostly Yamaha
- Repowers: hang the engine, rig controls and gauges, sea trial
- Digital rigging, including Yamaha Helm Master
- Some mobile service calls
What you need
- 3+ years working on four-stroke outboards
- Experience with diagnostic software (Yamaha YDIS or another brand's)
- Your own hand tools
- A valid driver's license
A plus
- Yamaha certification (ITOS, MCP or Master Technician)
- Repower and Helm Master rigging experience
- ABYC certification
- Marine electronics installs (Garmin or similar)
