Yamaha Jet Drive outboards: specs and repower in Virginia Beach.
Yamaha's jet drive outboards drive a jet pump instead of a propeller, so there is no gearcase or propeller below the hull in shallow, rocky or obstructed water. Each is named for its engine rating, from the F150 Jet down to the F40 Jet, and Yamaha lists a lower output at the pump: 105 hp for the F150 Jet down to 30 hp for the F40 Jet.
